We’re, born into this world,
Living by direction and facing anarchy.
What we learn turns us into puppets
guides us to destruction.
What kind of world is this?
We follow our instructions,
living by rules, that often don’t apply.
It was all a lie,
Even if we try the good doesn’t fly.
Will we be freed and aloud to thrive?
Or will this abyss eat away our lives.
We’re, bound by our morality,
tied to our complexion and leading empty lives.
We compete to earn our position,
This unkind transition conflicting with our styles.
How can we be true with this pain inside?
When will they free us? Will we survive?
Why are we betrayed and then cast aside?
It was all a lie
Living by the book makes you kill your pride,
When will this world take us in its stride?
Even if when we fight good rules don’t apply.
It was all a lie.
This song is dedicated to everyone who was born and raised in a sort of Utopian community and after the coming of age when it was time to leave realized
that the rest of the world is a dark and devious place.
Often the rules we were taught don't apply to society and the hypocrisy of those who teach us is really mind blowing.
I want to apologize of the repetition of the content below but since this is a song and is under 200 words I needed a
way to come up with the extra content.
